Scammers are using the the stimulus checks as an opportunity to steal your information.

“The FBI recently issued a warning to be on alert for hackers masquerading as the agency and asking for personal information supposedly in order to receive your check”. “Government agencies are NOT sending unsolicited emails seeking private information in order to send you your money”.

Be aware, be careful.

Check the “from” line.
Don’t open emails from people you don’t know.
Be suspicious and careful with attachments.
